On Wednesday 26th August many of the #HOFfamily from the office joined for a team lunch to try the recently opened Greek restaurant Lemoni in Reading. We want to support local businesses who have faced an extremely difficult 2020 and the highly successful government ‘Eat out to Help out’ scheme and chose this is a perfect location, overlooking the Thames river in the Reading city centre.
It was refreshing to see Reading city centre buzzing with life, with shops, cafes and restaurants busy again following the lockdown. Lemoni soon filled up over lunch, creating a warming atmosphere.
It was a truly Greek experience, with starters, mains and desserts ordered from the extensive lunchtime menu. Dishes ordered included souvlaki wraps, honey mustard chicken fillets, hummus, tzatziki, calamari, “Lemoni” mousse and profiteroles. All plates were empty by the end, a sign of how enjoyable the delicious dishes were!
The lunch was a welcome return to our social gatherings where laughter and conversation is always rife, maintaining our widely admired ‘HOF culture’ of having fun outside the workplace. Those attending included sales, reservations, operations and our outsourced marketing department Fruitful Marketing.
The next social event is in September where the #HOFFamily are meeting for ‘kick start drinks’ at our newly refurbished 100 Kings Road co-working area and lounge. We are looking forward to the coming months ahead.
