When our favourite morning of the year arrives (Macmillian Coffee Morning) at House of Fisher we fully agree with Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore girls who said “If eating cake is wrong, I don’t want to be right!”
On Wednesday 25th September, the House of Fisher team came together again to raise money for Macmillan by baking a selection of delicious cakes. The event was hosted at our corporate head office in Theale and at our flagship apart-hotel 100 Kings Road, being supported by T A Fisher (our parent company), and other Theale Court residents. We have supported this event for many years and once again it was very successful in raising money for such a worthy cause.
At Theale Court there was a superb range of cakes to select from:
- Liz’s lemon cupcakes with lemon, white choc & coconut icing
- Edd’s lemon drizzle
- Helen’s carrot cake
- Trine’s white sponge with sugar/coconut topping
- Alison’s banana cake
- Steph’s (dad’s) Slimming World choc cake
- Ian’s orange & spice cupcakes
Other cakes baked by Theale Court residents included chocolate chip cupcakes, cherry & white chocolate cupcakes and ginger cake.
At our flagship 100 Kings Road Aparthotel, the team baked some equally impressive sweet delicacies, including:
- Emma and Kasia’s Polish jelly cakes
- Barbora’s star brownie cake
- Cristina’s Sunday nuts cake
- Cristina’s House of Fisher mug cakes
Macmillan Cancer Support is incredible both for the work they do and people they help, so we are always thrilled to be involved and contribute to such a worthy cause. House of Fisher is thrilled to have raised £175.46, our most successful coffee morning to date and with all the money being donated directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. With the 2018 Macmillan Coffee Morning raising an incredible total of £26,914,382 nationally, we hope 2019 can top this!
