At House of Fisher, we understand the importance of being a responsible business and we are committed to taking proactive steps to ensure we reduce our impact on the environment and our carbon footprint, whilst continuing to educate and provide information where we can.
For the last several years we have partnered with Launchpad, Reading’s leading homelessness prevention charity. They specialise in providing vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who don’t have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home.
Launchpad currently has 20 properties with 115 bed spaces and their properties consist of rooms and self-contained flats, which come fully furnished.
House of Fisher donates a range of items to furnish the Launchpad properties, such as sofas, armchairs, coffee tables and rugs.
Partnering with Launchpad over the years has meant we are able to supply them with furniture to support their brilliant cause, and additionally we have been able to recycle our furniture by giving them a new loving home.
Derek Riley, Housing Officer at Launchpad, stated…
“Our relationship over the years has meant that our rooms/flats are always furnished with high quality and much needed items of furniture.
As a homeless charity, the donations provided are much appreciated and we are very grateful.
We hope that our relationship with House of Fisher continues for many years to come.”
House of Fisher are always looking for opportunities to continue to support our local community, especially in a green way.
As well as doing our part to build a more sustainable future, we are proud that we are able to support charities like Launchpad so we can give back to our community.
