House Of Fisher Donate Christmas Presents to Local Charities

During December 2021, House of Fisher and T A Fisher employees donated gifts to local charities as part of ‘The Giving Tree’ in Reading. This wonderful incentive has been running for 25 years and enables participants to donate presents to charities and those in need ahead of Christmas Day.

A large number of the #HOFfamily kindly supported once again this year and we have been able to donate a significant number of presents, making a hugely positive impact to local recipients.

What is ‘The Giving Tree’?

The Giving Tree is an annual appeal run by Connect Reading, this being their 25th year. This year they supported 20 local charities:

How Does ‘The Giving Tree’ Work?

Gift tags which featured written requests from the 2021 chosen charities were available on ‘Giving Trees’ in The Oracle shopping centre, Reading. Anyone that wanted to support this cause could choose a gift tag, buy the gift and then simply return the gift to the centre. These are then sorted out ready for the charity partners to pick up and distribute to those they support.

The previous year over 1500 presents were donated, with the Giving Tree in hope that donations in 2021 will be even higher!

Why we are so passionate about supporting ‘The Giving Tree’

At both House of Fisher and our parent company T A Fisher, we are passionate about supporting both our local community and many deserving charities. The Giving Tree resonates with the #HOFfamily, especially considering the hardships faced by families who are struggling day to day due to the impact of the pandemic, not just at Christmas.  Knowing our donations, which may be the only present they have to open on Christmas Day, will bring smiles to their faces the #HOFfamily had no hesitation in getting involved.
