Feb
House of Fisher are participating in the Sue Ryder ‘Love your hospice’ campaign throughout February. Having heard some inspiring and heart-warming accounts from those that have been supported by Sue Ryder whilst we attended the 2018 Thames Valley Awards ceremony, we were inspired to support this truly amazing charity.
During the month our aim is to increase awareness of Sue Ryder Hospice, spread the love and raise money.
We started off by ‘giving’ our heart to the charity for Valentine’s Day! House of Fisher donated to the charity and together with other local businesses displayed our message of support on hearts at Chiltern Training Building in Reading. This heart alone will provide one session of bereavement counselling, supporting patients and families with life-limiting conditions.
Towel Origami for our 100 Kings Road, Reading guests
Our operations team then kick started the campaign, surprising delighted guests at 100 Kings Road, Reading with towel Origami of dogs and elephants in their rooms. These were accompanied with a note explaining the campaign and highlighting the brilliance of Sue Ryder Hospice.
Theale Court, Reading Valentine’s Day cake sale – #LoveYourHospice
On Wednesday 14th February the #HOFfamily at our head office in Theale raised money with a huge variety of cakes, all homemade by our fantastic team. The tasty creations included Trine’s chocolate/banana cake, Raquel’s red velvet cake, Sandra’s victoria sponge & lemon cake (vegan style), Aneal’s chocolate cupcakes and Edd’s pink marble cake along with a bunch of sweets!
Many of the team wore pink/red in support (Valentine’s Day & #LoveYourHospice) and our campaign raised £58.78 on the day. Sue Ryder joined us on the day to show their appreciation for our efforts and took photos for their social media campaigns.
Sue Ryder Hospice provides amazing support throughout its seven hospices and four neurological care centres. To read more about Sue Ryder or to donate please click here : http://www.sueryder.org/ and remember to #LoveYourHospice
