This complex is forward thinking and inclusive, running a ‘Quiet Time’ every Saturday from 9:30am – 10:30am and Wednesday’s 4pm – 6pm, where all the store’s music will be turned off to make your shopping experience as relaxed and calming as possible. We would recommend checking out Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe located on the ground floor of Festival Place, where they stock an amazing selection of unusual chocolate bars that make the perfect gift for someone that has a sweet tooth (don’t we all!). While you are there, why not check out Cool Merchandise and buy yourself a themed shirt or merchandise from globally renowned series like Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and The Walking Dead.

2. Bowl some strikes at Hollywood Bowl
If there’s one thing that everyone loves to do, it’s a good night of ten pin bowling! Hollywood Bowl is the perfect place to have your bowling fun, before experiencing a Hollywood diner. There’s plenty of things to do as well as bowling, we recommend trying out the in-house amusements, where you can ride with Mario or test your potting skills with a game of pool.
Do you want to be treated like a Hollywood star? The VIP experience will make you feel like a true celebrity! You get comfy lounge seating, funky coloured pins, pool style bowling balls and VIP walls to protect you from the paparazzi!!

3. Take flight at iFLY Indoor Skydiving
Ever wanted to experience the thrill of indoor skydiving while in a safe and fun environment? If yes, then iFLY Indoor Skydiving will satisfy your thrill! The facility comes equipped with a 14ft diameter, super-smooth, super-fast and super-cool wind tunnel which has plenty of space for you to fly around and try out some acrobatics. Flyers of all abilities are welcome as their facilities come with wheelchair access and highly trained instructors so that no one is left out. While you are there it would definitely be worth having a go at their all new Para flight Virtual Reality, which entails a fully immersive virtual reality paragliding attraction with a built in game system, allowing you to collect points along the way. You become the pilot and get to steer your way through steep valleys, as well as other outstanding landscapes. Experience a fully realistic paragliding experience as jets blow air into your face to create a sense of speed.

4. Relive the old ages at Milestones Museum
Milestones Museum is a living history museum made up of a network of streets that have been recreated in accordance to those found in Victorian and 1930s Hampshire times. Immerse yourself in the culture and the living history of the Victorian times, explore the streets, shops and buildings to discover and realise how people used to live. Along the way, visit the 1940s sweetshop where you can get yourself a ration of sweets. Make sure to check out Milestones Pier and Penny Arcade where you get to learn about the history of 1930s piers.
Have your cameras ready as there will be plenty of opportunities to take postcard style photos in their wacky mirrors! As it is an arcade you will have loads of fun with the vintage style arcade machines from claw grabbers to shove pennies, there is an arcade game for you to enjoy!
Your appetite will be satisfied at Milestones Museum, as their Rooftop Café sells sandwiches, pastries, soups and even fish and chips to recreate the seaside arcade experience.
Milestones Museum is located an 8 minute drive from our aparthotel at Central Point with free car parking in front of the museum. With it being so close, don’t miss out on this educational and fun experience.
5. Indulge in the performing arts at The Anvil
The Anvil is one of the top 5 concert halls in the country and can house up to 1,400 seats. It also boasts ‘The Forge’, which is an impressive 100-seat studio theatre. You will find some of the best music, performances, cultural education and arts all year round at Anvil Arts. If that isn’t enough to convince you, 95% of customers rated their visit to Anvil Arts highly, giving it either a “Very satisfied” or “Satisfied”.

6. Traverse the grounds at Basing House
Basing House was a substantial Tudor palace located in the village of Old Basing. The Tudor Palace and castle were constructed in the 1530s and served as a new palace for William Paulet, 1st Marquess of Winchester. There’s plenty of things for you to do when you visit, such as the King Henry VIII theatre festival, where you can learn all about his Royal Progress and his first visit to Basing House in 1535. If you would like to do something a bit more active, The Tudor Palace hosts outdoor activities which now include the Rope Maze, brand new for the summer season. With acres of ground, ruins and gardens this is the perfect outdoor place to visit.
Basing House runs some great green initiatives like the ‘Bring your own cup’ program where you get 30p off your hot drink when you bring your own reusable cup, an admirable initiative, helping to cut down the use of plastic and therefore help the environment. Bothy Café is open weekends for hot and cold drinks, snacks and more sweet treats. So head on down to Your Home Your World which stocks plastic free essentials to help save the world. The Bamboo Toothbrush, with a lightweight and comfortable to use bamboo handle which is fully recyclable, is a popular product of theirs. Along with the biodegradable toiletries, they also supply vegan friendly food such as their Gnaw Dark Chocolate with a rich and silky taste and recyclable packaging.
Given the current climate due to Covid-19, hygiene has never been so prevalent. The ‘Fill Hand Gel’ is a brilliant eco solution; with a fig leaf scent it cleans your hands brilliantly, it is also a completely eco-friendly and vegan product.
