On Wednesday 24th July 2019, House of Fisher held its summer party aboard the Thames Rivercruise. We were pleased to be joined by almost all of the #HOFfamily, employees from our parent company T A Fisher and the team from newly formed ‘House of Fisher Corporate Housing Solution’, many of whom were enjoying their first summer party with our welcoming and inclusive company.
The Riverboat departed shortly after 4:30 pm for its evening voyage on a glorious sunny afternoon, with temperatures close to 30 degrees! The route along the Thames River was particularly beautiful, with stunning views of the countryside, wildlife, people enjoying water activities, families playing and impressive properties whose gardens back directly onto the water. As a company operating within the Thames Valley and having many of our Serviced Apartments within the area, the boat trip was a natural fit.
Following an impressive start to 2019, the award-winning #HOFfamily team enjoyed the opportunity of spending social and bonding time between all departments outside of the workplace. Staff were treated to an onboard meal, including a showpiece pulled pork and flavoursome summer salads, all complemented by a fine selection of drinks served by bar staff wearing nautical uniforms. As the evening progressed a range of delicious desserts including mouth watering Crème brûlée and profiteroles were served!
House of Fisher Managing Director Trine Oestergaard conducted an engaging quiz that everyone participated in. The carefully constructed questions tested each team’s knowledge about T A Fisher, House of Fisher and the local areas of Reading, Newbury, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Basingstoke, Camberley, Farnborough and Fleet, which are the locations within the Thames Valley where we operate our portfolio of over 200 Serviced Apartments and Aparthotels. Teams were made up from members from House of Fisher, T A Fisher and House of Fisher Corporate Housing Solution, giving a balanced spread of knowledge! Subsequent to a dramatic tie-breaker question, summer themed prizes were distributed to each member of the top three teams to enjoy.
Following the quiz Group Owner John Fisher delivered a heartfelt and thankful speech to everyone on board to reflect their hard work and efforts. Further drinks were then enjoyed, the dancing started and much laughter was heard, whilst everyone enjoyed the stunning views to draw a conclusion to what was a very successful event.
