As the year drew to a close, the HOF (House of Fisher) and TAF (T A Fisher) teams came together to celebrate an outstanding 2025 with a Christmas party that truly sparkled. Set at Trunkwell House, Reading, this year’s theme, Lost in Oz, took inspiration from The Wizard of Oz and set the scene for a night full of colour, creativity and a little bit of magic.
The evening began with pre-drinks and welcome drinks at 100 Kings Road, Reading, where the team tapped their ruby red shoes together and, just like Dorothy discovering there’s no place like a ‘home away from home’, an amazing night was set in motion. From there, we followed our own version of the Yellow Brick Road, climbing aboard our own party bus! With lights flashing, music playing and laughter filling the air, the minibus taxi transported us towards Emerald City in true HOF style.
Once at Trunkwell House, the magic continued. Great food, plenty of banter, dancing and even dodgems kept everyone entertained well into the night. Colleagues from across HOF and TAF came together like Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, each bringing something special to the journey and proving once again that teamwork is at the heart of everything we do.
The Flying Monkeys Acro show, which included an LED Spinning Cube, was a spectacular and mesmerising performance by truly exceptional gymnasts. After several displays throughout the evening, the gymnasts concluded by pulling guests onto the dance floor… it was the time for the DJ to take over and for the red shoes to provide the next bit of magic, now on the dance floor! Some impressive and at times ‘questionable’ dance moves followed from the team for the remainder of the night, with dancing only paused to refill drinks or demonstrate driving skills on the dodgems (or should we say bumper cars!)!
The Lost in Oz theme came to life throughout the evening, with playful nods to the Land of Oz wherever you looked. It was a reminder that sometimes all it takes is a little imagination, and the right people by your side, to turn a great night into something unforgettable.
This celebration marked the perfect end to the year and was our way of saying thank you to the entire team for their hard work, dedication and passion throughout 2025. Much like the classic story of The Wizard of Oz, the year has been about courage, heart, brains and believing in the journey.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night such a success. As we look ahead, we will continue to follow the Yellow Brick Road together in 2026, knowing that with this team, there really is no place like House of Fisher.
