On Thursday 28th September the House of Fisher team participated in the Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for this worthwhile cause. The event was hosted at our corporate head office in Theale and at 100 Kings Road, supported by our parent company T A Fisher and other Theale Court residents Tecan, Osirium and Managementors. Many of the team put their baking skills into practice on Wednesday evening to create a wonderful selection.
At Theale Court the tasty creations included Trine’s Chocolate/banana cake, Tiffany’s Chocolate Fudge Cake, Suz’s Cupcakes, Edd’s Lemon Shortbread & Chocolate cake, Laura’s Rock biscuits and a Vegan friendly Lemon cake from Sandra as well as a selection of other fantastic cakes! At 100 Kings Road Cristina had prepared Cauliflower cookies (yes, very healthy and very popular!!) and Chocolate/cookie cupcakes, Kasia brought an Apple cake and Emma had baked a Coconut/chocolate and a Lemon cake, we were spoilt for choice!
The teams, joined by our corporate guests and contractors took time out for a short break and enjoyed a coffee with a cake and a catch up. We all indulged throughout the day and with such a fine selection of cakes available it meant many came back for seconds throughout the day!
To add to the excitement, office banter turned into a challenge which meant T A Fisher’s Office Manager Sandra Parkes had challenged Revenue Executive Phil Parker to come in with a yellow flower in his hair and yellow nail polish, the loser would add a further £10 donation to the cause. With the gauntlet laid down, Phil surprised many of the #HOFfamily and won the bet!
House of Fisher were pleased to donate £207.06 for Macmillan Cancer Support and we hope 2017 is another record year for the charity, beating 2016’s fantastic total of £29.5 million (a £4.5million increase from 2015).
