House of Fisher has been awarded the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This latest certification is yet another example of why our guests can stay with confidence and it aligns with our ‘We’re Good to Go’ from Visit England and ‘Covid-19 Confident’ from the AA certifications, which we were awarded in 2020.
What is ‘Safe Travels’ by the World Travel & Tourism Council?
The SafeTravels Stamp was created for travellers to recognise destinations and businesses around the world which have adopted the SafeTravels health and hygiene global standardised protocols.
It should be noted that while the protocols take into account current WHO and CDC guidelines, they are living documents which are updated as new information becomes available about COVID-19. As such House of Fisher adapts its policies to the latest recommendations to provide the safest environments for our guests and staff.
Aim of a consistent industry standard from ‘Safe Travels’
A key aim for ‘Safe Travels’ is to create a consistent industry standard across the sector, providing education regarding the latest global standards and helping businesses adhere to them. A united approach is the best way to build consumer trust and confidence, whilst creating the safest environment for travellers.
More than 44,000 businesses across the UK are registered to the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard demonstrating they are adhering to the latest Government and public health guidance, having carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and have the required processes in place to aid social distancing and cleanliness, reassuring customers, staff and local residents. These have the opportunity to join ‘Safe Travel’ and those not registered can complete the process to join as new members.
