The winter energy crisis is affecting the whole of Europe and we all want to do our bit to help out. In France, the iconic landmark The Eiffel Tower, which normally goes dark at 1am, is now turning its lights off earlier to save electricity. Whilst in isolation this may seem a small gesture, but it represents a changing ethos all around us, with most trying to make positive changes and small tweaks to the norm.
At House of Fisher, sustainability is at the forefront of our thinking and our eco-friendly goals run parallel with our drive for energy efficiency. We want to help improve our green way of living and implement these ways of living both at home and whilst travelling. We are driving change within our sector, as recognised earlier this year when we achieved an ECOsmart 2022 certified serviced apartment award from Greengage.
As a fully serviced apartment provider, we aim to work with guests to help them make simple changes that will improve our green way of living, at the same time as reducing the impact of the energy crisis and prevent a big rate increase.
Our team has created these great Green Living tips, taking ideas from our own experiences and adding new ones, creating a whole list of fantastic ways of living more consciously. These are available to download from our dedicated sustainability webpage but can also be seen in this blog. This information will also shortly be available in each apartment, together with our sustainability guest communication. Working together, we can all do just a little bit to help make a big difference. You can read more about our improvements and positive change in our sustainability section.
