Dec
On Friday 9th December, House of Fisher held a Christmas Jumper Day at the head office and at the flagship apart-hotel, 100 Kings Road. This year we nominated Sue Ryder as our charity of choice to support. Sue Ryder provide incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis and have 5 care centres and 7 hospices throughout the UK, including local to us, Reading.
Members of staff all paid a minimum of £2 to participate and extra for chocolates or jumpers not deemed festive enough!
It was a great effort from the #HOFfamily and we were pleased to raise and donate a total of £44.70. Sue Ryder were delighted with this donation and informed us that our efforts will effectively help to provide a complementary therapy session, such as a massage, aromatherapy or reiki. These help improve feelings of well-being and alleviate symptoms such as anxiety, breathlessness, pain and feeling sick.
We look forward to working with Sue Ryder hospices again in the near future as the #HOFfamily is dedicated to helping local charities.
