As part of our on-going cross training along with staff appreciation and awareness, our Housekeeping Department organised a ‘Housekeeping Awareness Week’ in January 2017. All our non-housekeeping staff from Accounts, Sales, Reservations, Guest Services and Senior Management participated in pairs, accompanied by a member of the Housekeeping Team and were allocated an apartment in any of our 13 locations across the Thames Valley area.

Every team had their performance scored, using the rigorous and thorough ‘House of Fisher standards and performance checklist’, exactly like our Housekeeping Teams do for every serviced apartment clean

The main focus of ‘Housekeeping Awareness Week’ was to train and educate the entire company in what our physically hardest working team goes through every day, in form of standards, where amenities are kept, store rooms and linen requirements. As some added fun it was also a competition, with voucher prizes given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The winners were for 1st place: Bozena and Kamil, 2nd place: Joanna, Suzanne and Phil, 3rd place: Andrei, Joe & Geoffrey. well done to all of the #HOFfamily who participated. It is also great to know we now have a whole army of back up staff!

Along with the physical challenge, the Housekeeping department also organised a fun filled afternoon at our flagship apart-hotel 100 Kings Road, where all our teams gathered in allocated teams for some enjoyable housekeeping related games. These consisted of property and staff questions, a towel origami test and finding Jose (our fish) in hidden locations throughout the building! All the winners were treated to lots and lots of sweets!!!

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our Housekeeping Awareness Week!
