At House of Fisher, we believe in celebrating our team, recognising their hard work, and making time to connect outside the office. This September, we came together to do just that—and to say a heartfelt goodbye to Isabella, who’s off to university after five fabulous years with us.
The night kicked off at 100 Kings Road with plenty of banter and catch-ups, offering colleagues who hadn’t seen each other in a while the chance to reconnect.
Our venue for the evening was the lively Market House, just minutes from our flagship aparthotel at 100 Kings Road. The choice couldn’t have been more perfect—a vibrant spot in the heart of Reading that set the tone for an evening filled with laughter, fun, and a few surprises along the way…
We were welcomed with an array of refreshments—buckets of beers and ciders, soft drinks, prosecco, and a delicious variety of pizzas to keep us fuelled throughout the night. The highlight of the evening? Entertainment provided by Mahatma Khandi, a hilarious drag queen with a name as witty as her performance—a clever play on the iconic Mahatma Gandhi.
The atmosphere was lively, the conversations flowed, and let’s just say there may have been a few cheeky rounds of tequila and Baby Guinness shots!
As the evening progressed, we were treated to Drag Queen Bingo—a wildly entertaining competition that had us all in stitches. Our host kept the jokes rolling (some of which are best left unprinted!), and the laughter was so loud at times that it took three people to shout out and repeat the bingo numbers. It only added to the hilarity and enjoyment of the night.
The grand finale? Our Guest Services Coordinator, Hannah, achieved a full bingo card, much to the delight of the entire group, especially since the prize was a bottle of prosecco! It was the perfect end to a perfect night, one the #HOFfamily will be talking about for some time.
While there may have been a few sore heads and slightly crisp voices the next morning, everyone turned up for their shifts as planned—showing just how dedicated our team is!
