With Easter fast approaching, what better way than to spend it visiting some eggciting local attractions nearby our House of Fisher serviced apartments? Whether you fancy a family day out or a relaxing meal with your friends and family, the Thames Valley area has so much to offer!
Windsor and Maidenhead
Visit Legoland Windsor, where you can be amongst the first to experience the NEW Haunted House Monster Party. This is an eggcellent day out for the family and will be sure to get everyone laughing!
If you are a fan of horse racing, Windsor Racecourse has an Easter Eggstravaganza on Monday 15th April! Win some amazing prizes in their Easter Egg Hunt, get your face painted, bounce away on the bouncy castle or visit the mini farm! The best part is, all of the entertainment on the day is FREE. Choose from two brilliant enclosures both in a prime location to watch all of the action unfold, with a wide selection of bars and food outlets to enjoy.
Reading
If you enjoy being active, RedKangeroo Trampoline Park in Reading is a fantastic opportunity for you to literally ‘bounce off the walls’! It features a huge air-conditioned main court of wall-to-wall trampolines and the most exhilarating aerial activities around. This is ideal for all ages, with several different sessions to choose from and will certainly get you moving.
Alternatively, if you wanted to relax and treat yourself to a delicious meal out, there are plenty of wonderful restaurants in Reading, particularly in The Oracle, but also down Kings Road, minutes away from our 100 Kings Road property, we highly recommend our ‘partners’ House of Flavours, Zizzi’s and Thirsty Bear. The range of different cuisines to choose from is tremendous! As well as this, Reading offers buzzing bars, such as The Purple Turtle and All Bar One where you can have some drinks after your delicious meal and dance the night away.
Bracknell
Another fantastic attraction just minutes away from our serviced apartments is Coral Reef in Bracknell, a water world with five water slides, rapids, a pirate ship plus a sauna, spa and steam room! This is the perfect place to stay active and have fun, with adults being able to relax and get away from it all at the adults-only Coral Spa area.
The Lexicon in Bracknell also has some eggciting Easter activities for you to get involved in! The Chocolate Wonderland, from 12th until 20th April, invites children to take part in a craft workshop and decorate their own Easter egg box to take home, with a delicious chocolate egg inside. Look out for their friendly Easter Bunny too, who you can find around the town centre!
Basingstoke and Newbury – Local Easter Egg Hunts
To really get into the Easter spirit, why not attend the Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunt at The Vyne in Basingstoke? Running from 6th until 22nd April, make sure you enter to be in the chance of winning an eggcellent prize! This will be a fantastic event and allows you to explore the great outdoors whilst having fun.
Another Easter Egg Hunt you can attend is at Highclere Castle in Newbury, on Sunday 21st April. Highclere Castle is a beautiful location, with picturesque gardens and woodlands for you to enjoy. This will be in aid of the Murray Parish Trust, so is for a fantastic cause and will have lots of other games for children to take part in, including a bouncy castle!
